Tuesday Morning

Another great morning out there with the kids at VBS. The students continue to do any outstanding job and serve so well. Here are some more updates from students:

"I have loved watching how the kids run and jump into your arms and are so excited to see you, I am reminded how Christ wants us to come and run to him with open arms and grow to be dependent on him in everything!"
-Morgan Davis

"I have been so struck by how full of joy and genuine happiness these precious kids are. We came here to teach and love them, but I am realizing that there is so much I can learn from them through the way they love and embrace us and are so content in the lord, despite having so little."
-Allie Kirchhofer

"it has been so amazing to me to listen to the kids dance and worship and praise God so openly. Even though they live in such ruin and destruction, they have such a joy that I wish we all had. It's also been really cool to see how we can sing in English and they can sing the same song in Creole but we are all praising the same God."
- Emily Gray

"I just love it here! Everyone, especially the little kids are so full of joy that really can only come from the Lord. I also love how these kids embrace us, even though we are strangers, so openly and really do desire to be wanted and loved."
-Sawyer salvino

" it's absolutely incredible that God is present in this place that's so full of destruction. I've especially loved getting to worship with them in two different languages, its opened my eyes that my god is truly their God as well. The kids feed off our love, but I've just as much fed off of theirs. So much joy in this place!"
-Laine Stebbins

"With every hug, every minute of attention you give to these kids in Haitiig, they return it with unbelievable amounts of energy and affection. When a little girl reached out her stubby arms to me, asking "hold me, hold me!" in Creole, I was filled with an unimaginable amount of love for this child I had never met before. At the same time, while I was rocking her to I couldn't help but stop and wonder at how petty and insignificant my care for her was in comparison to God's unfailing love for us. How great is our God!"- Margaret Seay
